H+T are creative consultants who specialise in providing social communications and content with a focus on third sector and csr clients who want to break the mould.


Working from their studio in Nairobi  Kenya H+T have over 20 years experience as creative at international advertising agencies (Saatchi & Saatchi, BMP DDB), producing cutting edge cross platform entertainment (Founder/Creative Director @ Pure Grass Films, London) and driving innovation for third sector social communications brands (Girl Effect, Nike Foundation). 

Alongside their client work, H+T have the courage and conviction to prototype new formats and pilot small social enterprises that help ground them in the rich cultural and creative East African region they have chosen as their home.

Harrison’s natural talents are complemented by a fusion of formal and unconventional training. His experience ranges from extensive freelance assignments as a photographer for high profile fashion agencies in London, New York and Shanghai . . . to roles of editor and production manager for NGO projects throughout Africa . . . and many diverse roles in between.

Harrison has a distinctive style – a raw edge juxtaposed with an intuitive mind . His ability to assess, design and research projects from an exciting fresh approach is what sets him apart.

Harrison has a BA of Photography & Design from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology

Tom Grass trained as a consumer planner and researcher at Saatchi & Saatchi and Tribal DDB then worked as a journalist and copywriter before founding Endemol funded cross-platform production house, Pure Grass Films in 2007. Recent work in Rwanda saw him work as a field researcher providing insights and creative strategy for the Girl Effect’s ‘Ni Nyampinga’ magazine, radio show and mobile platform in Rwanda. His first novel, ‘Twist’ which was published in September by Orion Books. Tom has an MA in Modern History from Oxford University.

H+T generate distinctive narrative concepts and have the skills to script, direct and edit video film for maximum impact across social and traditional media.


H specializes in photo stories that bring subjects to life. Experience in fashion, PR and journalism.


Creative Writing & PR Editorial

T has scripted and produced multiple brand funded web series and is a published novelist (Twist – Orion Books).



T is a trained qualitative field researcher with experience working in East Africa for the Nike Foundation.

Social Communications

H+T have the skills to create addictive infotainment using narrative to carry key messages. 

Harrison delivered an exceptional body of work, but also showed sensitivity and resilience working across many different parts of Rwanda, dealing with communities that often spoke no English, and faced daily challenges in their lives. He brought fun, a great spirit and passion to his work, often going weeks without a day off.
